| | GLC Installs New Officers
News Release June 4, 2010
The Institutional Locksmiths' Association Great Lakes Chapter installed several new officers at the June 3rd meeting.
New Chapter President Leslie J. Leaneagh, CIL
Leslie is a four-year GLC Regular Member and Architectural Hardware Installer for various commercial contractors in downtown Chicago as a twenty-two-year member of Carpenter Local 1, and is a member of the GLC Education Committee. Leslie was the hardware foreman for the construction of Chicago's Trump Tower. Leslie is a member of the GLC Education Committee.
Leslie is also a three-year part-time Instructor at the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Carpenter Training Center in Elk Grove Village IL. In addition to being an Ingersoll Rand Certified Installer Trainer and a DORMA Certified Installer Trainer for the Carpenter Training Center, she teaches several other courses at the CTC: 1) Basic Hardware Installation, 2) How To Install Architectural Door Hardware, and 3) Troubleshooting Closers and Exit Devices.
New Chapter Secretary Peter E. Dinschel, CIL
Pete is moving back to the Secretary office which he held for five years prior to his three years as Chapter President. Pete is a nine-year GLC Regular Member and a four-year GLC Associate Member representing Carpenter Local 1. He is a thirty-four-year member and Trustee of Carpenter Local 1.
Pete is a seventeen-year full-time Instructor at the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Carpenter Training Center in Elk Grove Village IL. In addition to being an Ingersoll Rand Certified Installer Trainer for the Carpenter Training Center, he teaches several other courses at the CTC: 1) Doors, Frames, and Hardware, 2) Ingersoll Rand Certified Installer Refresher, 3) assists Locks 4 - Electronic Access Control Locks, and 4) guest instructs Locks 2 - Masterkeying Locks.
Pete handles the GLC Newsletter, the GLC website (ilaglc.org), and the GLC email broadcasts. Pete is also the ILA National Institutional Locksmiths Certification Program Chairman and an essential member of the ILA National Conference Committee, working on ILA Conferences since 2005.
New Chapter Director Kurt A. Kloeckner, TCPL, CJIL
Kurt is a twelve-year GLC Regular Member, one of the 22 original chapter founding members. He has served as GLC President, ILA National Vice President, and for five-years as the ILA National President. Kurt is currently an ILA National Director and the ILA National Conference Committee Chairman, working on ILA Conferences since 2000.
Kurt has been a licensed Illinois locksmith since Illinois required licensing, an Architectural Hardware Installer for various commercial contractors in Chicago as a 19-year member of Carpenter Local 558. Kurt was the Lockshop Foreman for six years at Bank One, the former First National Bank of Chicago. Kurt has worked diligently on our Fishing and Golf Outings for years and is a member of the GLC Education Committee. He is a Trustee for Carpenter Local 558.
Kurt is a six-year part-time Instructor at the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Carpenter Training Center in Elk Grove Village IL as a DORMA Certified Installer Trainer and for Locks 4 - Electronic Access Control Locks.
New Chapter Director Patrick F. Moran, CIL
Pat is a two-year GLC Regular Member. Pat is a twenty-one-year University of Illinois at Chicago carpenter, a thirty-three-year member of Carpenter Local 13.
Nominations and elections will be held in May and June 2011 for Vice President, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms, and one more Director.
